About vieux bandit
vieux bandit is a translator, proofreader, photographer, writer and author. She lives in Saint-Édouard de Maskinongé, Québec, with four cats, one dog, a wonderful significant other and his son.
vieux bandit, if you must know, also bears the name Helene Jutras (no accents, pronouned Helen), author of an essay and a novel many years ago, now a freelancer always looking for interesting contracts. She translates from English to French and vice-versa, and proofreads in French. For a taste of her photography, take a walk on flickr or check out her 35 mm shots.

About The Site
vieux bandit has had a site for ten yearsa long time (it’s nice to be precise, but then you have to update and I forget!) now, but it has taken on many forms and has had many lives. She has been blogging since before the term “blog”, and she tried Blogger and Movable Type before settling on WordPress. So many events in these years online! From a site filled with icons taken here and there (32 by 32 pixels, huge!) to a site where she designed the icons, to photography, to another nickname elsewhere on the web…! She now intends to settle here, at home.
The blog posts are sometimes in French, sometimes in English. for those who do not undertsand French, i have created the “English” category. Click on the link to only see English-language posts.
