Katcher is up and down as we struggle to keep his diabetes under control but this morning he came in the bed and lay down and purred between us and last night he actually played with toyas and he’s now able to wash himself everywhere which hasn’t happened in months because he had been too fat and uncomfortable - mind you he and I have a recurring appointment at the vet’s every Tuesday night - I’ve been working away from home downtown if you’ll believe it for a while having fun working too much not getting days off but as an independent worker I can’t complain too much except that the spasm in my eye went away and came back though without a vengence - we had the joy of spending an evening with our best friend, it felt like normalcy which felt wonderful - I’m 32 now and officially have been with Herb for six years and one day - we had yummy steak and wine and yellow tomatoes from our garden and it was us meaning simple quiet but pleasant - for my birthday I got treated to yummy Mr. Ma and yummy Bière & cie but let’s face it restaurants are a bit lost on me because I’m having true hunger-food issues now my body just refuses to eat anything much so I guess I should focus on fruits vegetables and legumes - if the weather can stay fall-ish everything should go better for me as this is the time of year when I peak and am happiest - gimme wind and sun cool air and a long-sleeve shirt and I’ll be happy - the Kid is now in fifth grade and he has grown six centimetres in three months and I suspect he’s about to sprout to new heights and hit us with puberty very soon - all four other cats are doing well and also enjoying the cool air today - as for me I took these few minutes so you’d know I hadn’t fallen from the face of the earth but now I have a few minutes to read and then it’s back to work for the bandit - my new goal in life is to have two days OFF next weekend wish me luck.
