Le monde du vieux bandit

Good news: Katcher is recuperating wonderfully! And it turns out he has a pancreas infection, which might have caused the diabetes, which… just might simply go away! He also has a little kidney infection. Today his blood sugar is level, the insulin is working well at a low dose, and they will only check his glycemia every four hours, not every hour. They will also give him all his medication orally, not through the iv, so that… he can come home tomorrow! Now if that isn’t fantastic news, I don’t knwo what is!

We went to see him last night. Between his bloody ear (where they scratch to get blood to check his glycemic level), his shaved belly (for the ultrasound), his runny eye full of anti-conjunctivitis ointment and his paw wrapped in pink for the iv, he was a sorry sight, but he purred and was very happy to see us. He was even himself enough to get fed up after 10 minutes of his three humans with their hands all over him. And soon soon soon, my baby is coming home!
