Now I’ve seen everything
I was taking a break to have lunch and Herb was watching HGTV. I saw on there the most ridiculous invention ever. They justified it by saying that “light switches can be boring and hard”. Boring and hard. They didn’t mention the countless injuries suffered every year by careless light switchers, the nail breakage epidemic due to the hard plastic, the electric shocks that could maim a blue whale. So what you need instead is a horrible tacky pompom on your wall, which will gently tickle your hand as you’re turning the light on and off. Right. Herb did say he was starting to feel like he didn’t really live with all our ordinary, hard plastic switches. And now, for $99 a pop, we can have tacky pompoms instead. Ah, technology. It’s a wonderful thing, right? Right?
